Browser platforms / Intuned alternative

An Intuned browser automation alternative

Intuned is a code-first managed browser-automation platform. It provides deployed API machines, Runs/Jobs, authenticated browser state and persistent application KV data. Compare those managed workflow functions with the complete durable Linux environment your own agent would operate on Sandbox0.

When Intuned fits

Intuned fits code-first browser integrations, repeatable scrapers and scheduled/batched automation with managed deployment and authentication. Its Run guide says idle API machines, including the configured minimum baseline, are not billed for compute when not running work.

When to consider Sandbox0

Consider Sandbox0 when compatible Linux tools and system configuration must persist with user files across the whole growing RootFS. Supply the surrounding run API, queues, retry policy, browser authentication and AI/provider integration, or keep those functions in Intuned.

Online RootFS growth

On growth-enabled images, Sandbox0 automatically expands the writable RootFS as free space runs low, within a configured sparse logical ceiling up to 64 TiB. Agent processes keep running. Growth is enabled in the qualified Cloud region; confirm activation for other regions. Existing images and snapshots retain their captured storage geometry. The ceiling is logical capacity, not preallocated host disk.

Intuned’s AuthSessions, JSON KV storage and deployed machine counts do not establish automatic online growth of a complete mounted Linux RootFS. Scaling automation machines and preserving application records are separate from retaining an evolving installed agent computer.

Files while compute is paused

Sandbox0's Files API reads persistent files without resuming compute. Filesystem-only pauses also permit edits; retained-memory pauses are read-only and reject mutations with 409. SSH, SFTP, file watching, and runtime-only mounts require running compute.

The reviewed persistentStore and AuthSession interfaces retain application/browser state across Runs. They do not establish a no-wake arbitrary RootFS file-editing contract. Sandbox0 supports paused persistent files, with mutations restricted to filesystem-only pauses.

AuthSessions and persistentStore retain different state

AuthSessions save signed-in browser state, validate it before a Run and can recreate it when expired. persistentStore retains JSON-serializable values across project executions. These are useful continuity features, but neither establishes durability of arbitrary installed software, Linux configuration or live process memory.

Ready API machines and completed Runs use different limits

Project minimum/maximum replication controls ready machines and scales excess work into a queue. The Run guide explicitly excludes idle machines from compute billing. Unlimited standalone runs still consume applicable compute and AI usage; batched Job Runs have their own included counts and overages.

Verify the effective AI credit allowance

The public price page lists $10/month AI credit for Developer and $40 for Startup. The billing reference instead lists $5 and $20. It also specifies provider cost plus 20% for managed AI, per-event upward rounding to $0.001 and no platform fee when using your own key. Confirm the current account allowance before comparing a model-heavy workload.

CPU allocation, memory, billing minimums, disk, plan fees, and supported workload differ. These meters are not equal-performance machine quotes. Confirm region, resource units, and included allowances before estimating a total.

The website and billing reference disagree on paid monthly AI credits, so the rows do not assume one verified allowance. Compute and machine surcharges are reported in minutes; AI credits do not roll over. Idle API machines are explicitly unbilled according to the Run guide. Plan machine caps, Job Runs, AI and any proxy use still need separate accounting.

$0.015/GiB-hour compute (billed by the second at approximately $0.000004167/GiB-second), plus $0.02/GiB-month of retained incremental RootFS and memory checkpoint data. Shared base images and platform recovery retention are excluded; paused sandboxes accrue storage charges only.

$6.00 compute

4 GiB × 100 hours, billed by the second. Keeping 20 GiB of billable incremental data for a full billing month adds $0.40. CPU is derived from memory by the platform; choose a tier that fits your workload.

Before migrating from Intuned

  1. Preserve automation source, AuthSession configuration, persistentStore data and output sinks, with plan/retention and credential rights checked through supported workflows.
  2. Recreate compatible code on Sandbox0 while retaining or implementing ready-machine routing, queues, retry/timeout policy, authentication validation and model access.
  3. Test durable system packages and outputs, RootFS growth, paused file operations and full compute/surcharge/Job Run/AI charges against actual work.

Common questions

Is Sandbox0 a drop-in Intuned replacement?

Evaluate API compatibility and product scope. These products serve different core workflows, so a change may require a different architecture.

Does keeping files also keep a running agent?

Filesystem state and volatile process state are separate. Sandbox0 requires explicit compatible memory checkpoints to preserve running processes; its default filesystem resume starts fresh processes.
