Minicor alternative for persistent agent runtime state

Minicor builds API-callable automations for legacy applications across desktops, virtual machines and browsers. It offers customer-hosted or provider-hosted deployment, persistent authentication sessions and run evidence. Those integration capabilities are different from a general-purpose durable agent computer.

When Minicor Legacy Application Automation fits

Choose Minicor when a legacy application needs a maintained automation/API connection, including workflow verification, approvals and observability. Keep the required Windows desktop and native application environment on suitable infrastructure.

When to consider Sandbox0

Consider Sandbox0 for the compatible Linux agent that orchestrates integrations and accumulates installed tools, system configuration and files. Its durable growing RootFS and supported paused files serve the runtime state alongside specialized application automation.

Online RootFS growth

On growth-enabled images, Sandbox0 automatically expands the writable RootFS as free space runs low, within a configured sparse logical ceiling up to 64 TiB. Agent processes keep running. Growth is enabled in the qualified Cloud region; confirm activation for other regions. Existing images and snapshots retain their captured storage geometry. The ceiling is logical capacity, not preallocated host disk.

Minicor’s application integrations and persistent login sessions do not establish automatic online expansion of an entire durable machine RootFS. That depends on the selected desktop/VM/browser backend and its storage contract.

Files while compute is paused

Sandbox0's Files API reads persistent files without resuming compute. Filesystem-only pauses also permit edits; retained-memory pauses are read-only and reject mutations with 409. SSH, SFTP, file watching, and runtime-only mounts require running compute.

API-callable desktop/app workflows and stored run evidence are different from arbitrary file operations throughout a paused OS filesystem. The cited product does not define that native paused-file contract.

Authentication sessions have a specific meaning

Minicor lists persistent sessions with login handling, MFA and credential vaulting. That supports repeated access to an application; it does not by itself specify complete OS-disk retention or process-memory recovery when a desktop/VM is released.

Hosting follows the integration deployment

Current documentation runs jobs through Minicor Desktop Service on a Windows machine, provisioned through Minicor or supplied in your own environment. The platform can target desktop, VM, browser and Citrix workflows, while machine lifecycle and retained application data follow that deployment. Keep native Windows requirements separate from Linux agent orchestration.

Obtain the integration and infrastructure quote together

The product describes bespoke integrations and requests a demo rather than publishing numeric compute or workflow rates. Confirm workload volume, concurrency, support and hosting scope in the engagement. Persistent app login is not a free durable machine entitlement.

Pricing

Compare billing models, then price your workload

CPU allocation, memory, billing minimums, disk, plan fees, and supported workload differ. These meters are not equal-performance machine quotes. Confirm region, resource units, and included allowances before estimating a total.

$0.015/GiB-hour compute (billed by the second at approximately $0.000004167/GiB-second), plus $0.02/GiB-month of retained incremental RootFS and memory checkpoint data. Shared base images and platform recovery retention are excluded; paused sandboxes accrue storage charges only.

A 4 GiB agent, 100 running hours

$6.00 compute

4 GiB × 100 hours, billed by the second. Keeping 20 GiB of billable incremental data for a full billing month adds $0.40. CPU is derived from memory by the platform; choose a tier that fits your workload.

Before migrating from Minicor Legacy Application Automation

  1. Inventory integrations, native applications, hosting ownership, login/session behavior, retained data and the actual commercial engagement.
  2. Move compatible Linux orchestration and required files while retaining legacy application execution on its supported backend.
  3. Test result handoff, persistent tools, growth, paused files and complete integration, hosting and Linux runtime/storage costs.

Common questions

Is Sandbox0 a drop-in Minicor Legacy Application Automation replacement?

Evaluate API compatibility and product scope. These products serve different core workflows, so a change may require a different architecture.

Does keeping files also keep a running agent?

Filesystem state and volatile process state are separate. Sandbox0 requires explicit compatible memory checkpoints to preserve running processes; its default filesystem resume starts fresh processes.
